Fluidics Microencapsulation
Increased Bioavailability Drug Delivery System
RSI is the exclusive worldwide licensee for a patented microfluidics encapsulation device developed by BioCell Technologies and North Carolina State University.
While planned for many years as the drug delivery method of INS2, this device also allows RSI to apply the technology to a large number of Rx Drugs, Rx Medical Foods, and Nutraceuticals. This unique method of encapsulation allows the liquid form of drugs to bypass the damaging stomach acids resulting in superior bioavailability.
In addition RSI can also sublicense the microfluidics device and technology to pharmaceutical manufacturers seeking to utilize this technology of enhanced bioavailability in a unique form of time-release encapsulation. This may also allow pharmaceutical manufacturers or RSI to file new patent applications based on unexpected results by using less of the drug to obtain superior results.
